Petting zoo

Goats

Camping De Meulinge has four goats: Rosie and the little bucks Morris, Ronnie & Ritchie. They are very tame and will eat from your hand.

Please do not feed them bread, as it can make them sick. Their stomachs and intestines are not used to bread. You can feed them raw vegetables and fruit, such as broccoli stems, potato peels, carrots, lettuce, etc. They love it. They will come straight to you as soon as they notice you have something to eat.

Duvel the pig

Duvel, our pig, has been with us for quite a few years. You can look at him, but you cannot enter his pen.

Guinea pigs and chickens

The chickens and guinea pigs also roam freely in the meadow.

The guinea pigs also have an indoor pen that children cannot access. Experience shows that they retreat there when it gets busy in the meadow. There they feel safe.

Alpacas

Our two alpacas are called Antonio (the blonde one) and Pedro (the brown one). They have been living with us in the petting farm since 2024.

Antonio is the absolute boss in the meadow.

Little scheep

At the moment, we only have one sheep, Mea. She is a small, brown Ouessant sheep. During feeding, she is sometimes allowed to come into the barn with us to get a treat – and she knows it very well!

We are already looking for new sheep, because that would, of course, make it more fun for Mea.
