Welcome to our new website!
Our website has been refreshed, just like our name. From Camping International to Camping De Meulinge. But still with the same great facilities and service. The same campsite, the same family, just with a new look!
Camping De Meulinge has four goats: Rosie and the little bucks Morris, Ronnie & Ritchie. They are very tame and will eat from your hand.
Please do not feed them bread, as it can make them sick. Their stomachs and intestines are not used to bread. You can feed them raw vegetables and fruit, such as broccoli stems, potato peels, carrots, lettuce, etc. They love it. They will come straight to you as soon as they notice you have something to eat.
Duvel, our pig, has been with us for quite a few years. You can look at him, but you cannot enter his pen.
The chickens and guinea pigs also roam freely in the meadow.
The guinea pigs also have an indoor pen that children cannot access. Experience shows that they retreat there when it gets busy in the meadow. There they feel safe.
Our two alpacas are called Antonio (the blonde one) and Pedro (the brown one). They have been living with us in the petting farm since 2024.
Antonio is the absolute boss in the meadow.
There are three sheep at the petting farm. One of them is a small, brown Ouessant sheep called Mea. She’s quite old now, and we have to make sure she gets enough to eat from the other animals. When it’s feeding time, she’s sometimes allowed to come into the shed with us to get a treat. She knows that all too well!
The other two sheep are Beppie (black) and Bobbie (white). Beppie and Bobbie were both bottle-fed lambs. That means their mother died at birth and they were brought up by people with a bottle. That’s why they’re naturally very tame! Just watch out if you go into the pasture with a treat; before you know it, they’ll be knocking you over.
