For true gourmets, Zeeuws-Vlaanderen offers four Michelin-starred restaurants:
De Kromme Watergang in Slijkplaat;
Spetters in Breskens;
Demain in Cadzand-Bad;
't Vlasblommeke in Koewacht.
It goes without saying that you will need to dig deep into your pockets and sometimes book weeks in advance. But in return, you will enjoy an evening you will never forget.
But we have more tips, see below.
There are also several top restaurants that (often deliberately) fall just below Michelin star level, but are highly recommended if you want to dine in style. La Trinité in Sluis used to have a Michelin star, but is still run by the same owner and chef. Etablissement 1880 in Groede is Marleen's favourite restaurant and easy to reach by bicycle. So go ahead and order that wine pairing too😉. De Vijverhoeve in Sint Anna ter Muiden and Dell Arte in Cadzand are also recommended in this category.
Next, we come to the category where you can enjoy fantastic à la carte dining at an affordable price.
According to Marleen, restaurant Amuse on Spuiplein in Breskens is not to be missed. A tip when it comes to price, quality and atmosphere. Or consider Het Stadhuis in Oostburg or beach pavilion Woest 17 in Nieuwvliet. The latter pavilion was named the best beach pavilion in the Netherlands in 2024 and is located about 2 km from the campsite. In the early and late seasons, the chef there often prepares mouth-watering dishes using local produce. In our opinion, Woest 17 also serves the best mussels on the coast: with sea lavender and samphire. Mmmm...

If you fancy something more casual, head to eatery 't Overleg in Groede. Marleen can often be found there too. Excellent value for money. At the piazza of Camping Zonneweelde, you can enjoy delicious pasta or pizza.
Would you rather eat at the campsite? At Pierewiet, we have an excellent chip shop and serve delicious pancakes.
